Bible Prophecy
GAZA!!
“The Great Day of the LORD is near,
near and hastening fast;
The sound of the Day of the LORD is bitter;
the mighty man cries aloud there.
A day of wrath is that Day,
A day of distress and anguish,
A day of ruin and devastation,
A day of darkness and gloom,
A day of clouds and thick darkness,
A day of trumpet blast and battle cry
against the fortified cities
and against the lofty battlements.
I (GOD) will bring distress on Mankind,
so that they shall walk like the blind,
because they have sinned against the LORD;
their blood shall be poured out like dust,
and their flesh like dung.
Neither their silver nor their gold
shall be able to deliver them
on the Day of the Wrath of the LORD.
In the fire of His jealousy,
ALL the Earth shall be consumed;
For a full and sudden end
He will make of ALL the inhabitants of the Earth.”
(Zephaniah 1:14-18)
Gaza Is Prophetically Linked To The Coming Apocalypse
Prophecies of GAZA
During August-September 2005 the world watched as all the Jews living in Gaza, including
men, women, boys, and girls were forcibly removed from their homes and their land … even
those buried in cemeteries were dug up from their graves and removed from Gaza.
This ‘uprooting’ of the Jews from Gaza which the whole world watched on the news may be a much
more significant prophetic event than most realize.
Through the prophet Zephaniah, God warned Gaza would one day be ‘forsaken’ (yes, that same
Gaza you have recently been watching on the world news). Gaza is in the land which was
given to the tribe of Judah (Joshua 15:1-12), and one of Messiah’s titles is “The Lion of
the Tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5).
Through the following prophecies in the book of Zephaniah, God wants the children of Israel and ALL Mankind to learn and know at least THREE (3) things:
First:
GOD has issued a terrible warning and ‘plea’ to both Israel and to ALL Mankind
“Gather yourselves together,
Yes, gather together
O undesirable nation
Before the decree is issued,
Before the day passes like chaff,
Before the Lord’s fierce anger
comes upon you,
Before the Day of the Lord’s anger
comes upon you!
Seek the Lord,
All you meek of the Earth
(this warning includes all Mankind)
who have upheld His justice
Seek righteousness,
Seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the Day of the Lord’s Anger (Wrath).”
(Study the prophecies of the coming ‘Rapture’)

Second:
GOD wants all on Earth to know that GAZA will help trigger His fierce and terrible anger
“Gaza will be Forsaken!”
Her inhabitants (the children of Judah) ‘Uprooted’ and ‘Driven out’ …
“For GAZA shall be forsaken,
And Ashkelon desolate;
They shall drive out Ashdod at noonday,
And Ekron shall be uprooted.
Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast,
The nation of the Cherethites!
The Word of the Lord
is against you, O Canaan,
land of the Philistines (Palestinians):
“I (God) will destroy you
So there shall be no inhabitant.”
(‘Palestinians’ and allies should take note)
(Zephaniah 2:1-7)
Third:
God also wants the children of Israel to know there is HOPE
He promises hope for all those who will endure in faith and trust in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha’Mashiach in Hebrew).
For one-day in the future, after the coming ‘Apocalypse’ (also called “The Time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) Trouble”) a remnant of the tribe of Judah will once again peacefully inhabit and prosper in that precious land God promised and gave to them. And then, and only then, will there be ‘Peace on Earth.’ For at that time, God will restore all the Earth in peace and beauty … as promised.
“The seacoast shall be pastures,
With shelters for shepherds
and folds for flocks.
The coast shall be for the remnant
of the house of Judah;
They (the remnant of the house of Judah)
shall feed there flocks there
(in the coastlands of Gaza);
In the houses of Ashkelon
they shall lie down at evening.
The Lord their God
will intervene for them,
And return their captives.”
(Zephaniah 2:1-7)
Some interesting things to note as we watch the news …
– “Hamas” took control over Gaza soon after Gaza was “forsaken” by Israel. Hamas is directed,
trained, and equipped by Iran (study the prophecies of Russia and Iran).
– “As the days of Noah”…
Jesus warned the generation of the coming ‘Apocalypse’ would be filled with “violence.”
“But as the days of Noah were,
so also will the coming of the Son of Man be”
(Matthew 24:37)
To help us understand this prophecy God describes the generation of Noah as morally “corrupt” and “filled with violence.” The actual Hebrew word translated “violence” in this passage is “hamas!”
“The Earth was corrupt before God,
(morally “corrupt”… like smelly, rotting meat)
and the Earth was filled
with violence.
(The Hebrew word for this violence was “hamas!”)
So God looked upon the Earth,
and indeed it was (morally) corrupt;
for all flesh had corrupted
their way on the Earth.
And God said to Noah,
“The end of all flesh
has come before Me,
for the Earth is filled
with violence (‘hamas’)
through them;
and behold,
I will destroy them
with the Earth.’”
(Genesis 6:11-13)
In the Bible, God says He has given these prophecies and warnings so people will return to Him before the great and terrible Day of the Lord (the coming Apocalypse) in order to escape all these things.
While testing and studying these Bible prophecies it may be a good time for many to start taking the Bible seriously.
For Jesus Christ warns …
“When you SEE
these things,
know that it is NEAR – –
At the DOOR!!”
