PROPHETIC RISE OF ROME
&
THE ROMAN CHURCH
“And unless those days were shortened,
no flesh (human beings on Earth)
would be saved;”

Mankind’s prophetic destiny now lies in Rome …
One of the BIGGEST prophecies found in the Bible warns sometime soon after Israel would again become a nation with Jerusalem reunited as her capital (fulfilled in 1948 and 1967), a Global Power would once again begin to rise out of Rome.
Because of the impact the Bible warns this coming world power will have on all mankind, we must focus our attention on those powers that are now based in Rome to see if they match the detailed descriptions the Bible warns to watch for.
However, the Bible also warns this power which will rise out of Rome will be a very subtle, secretive, and shadowy one which uses great deception and lies to cover their true intent.
Like a snare, we are warned the whole world will be taken by surprise when this “Beast” suddenly rises to seize its prey.
These prophetic warnings are real and should not be ignored.
We are warned it is Rome who will again rise to gather all nations of the World into this climactic War of the Ages.
In the book of Daniel we find two amazing and prophetic dreams foretelling the future of all Mankind through the rise of four great Kingdoms with the last being a revived Rome.
The first vision presents these kingdoms as a “Great Image” reflecting their worldly splendor as seen by men. Whereas, the second vision presents them in the form of voracious, violent, and blood-thirsty “Beasts”… as GOD sees them!

These prophecies foretell the “Times of the Gentiles.”
Jesus references this as He explains …
“Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles,
UNTIL the times (years) of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”
(Luke 21:24)
These “times” will end with the Battle of Armageddon.
Pay close attention when God repeats any matter twice …
God giving us this same prophecy twice through two separate dreams/visions is unusual, but, we can find something similar way back in the book of Genesis (chapter 41).
After God revealed to Joseph in Egypt that both of Pharaoh’s two separate dreams were in fact the exact same prophecy, Joseph reveals to us an interesting fact (or rule) concerning those times when God will repeat a matter twice …
“And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice
because the thing is fixed by God,
And God will shortly bring it to pass.”
(Genesis 41:32)
Since God has given us this prophecy found in Daniel twice (through two separate dreams), we know the matter is “fixed” and fully established by God (meaning it will come to pass!)
We are warned this final revived Roman Kingdom (Empire) will rise sometime soon after Israel would once again become a Nation (which took place in 1948 for the first and only time since these prophecies were given to Daniel some 2,500 years ago when Babylon still ruled over Israel).
Because we do now find Israel back in her land for the first time since this prophecy was written 2,500 years ago, we must be diligent to study ANY global powers based in Rome!
That’s why we will take a long look at the Roman Vatican which is an established (and rising) Political and Religious global power, and also because we are warned this coming revived Roman Kingdom will ruled by TWO men:
- ONE a Political World Leader (the ‘Antichrist’)
- ONE a Religious Leader (a second prophetic ‘Beast’)
From a global “political” perspective we find that even though Vatican City is very small it is extremely powerful and has always structured its political “Provinces” and power on the ancient Roman Empire which helped spawn it:

“Today, nearly every corner of the globe has been incorporated into the (Roman) Catholic administration. Interestingly, every subdivision can be thought of as a continuation of the Roman Empire’s province system, and these provinces are one of the few modern institutions that survive as direct relics of Ancient Rome.”
Daniel’s Fourth (and Final) “Beast”
In the Bible Prophecy below, the Beast’s “ten horns” represent 10 nations and leaders which were once part of the Roman Empire, and we are told the “11th” horn will be the final Kingdom of the coming Antichrist who will rise from a nation which would come AFTER the other 10 nations …
“The ten horns are ten kings
who shall arise from (out of)
this kingdom (the Roman Empire).
And another shall rise after them; (the 11th “little” horn)
He (the Antichrist and his kingdom)
shall be different from the first ones,
and shall subdue three kings …” (The end begins)
(Daniel 7:24)
Something to consider …
It is worthwhile to note that the “11th horn” is sometimes called the “little horn” (or nation).
The Roman Church’s “Vatican City” is listed as the smallest nation on Earth (only 109 acres in total size) with a population of only around 800 people … and, it sits in Rome!
Yet, it rules over more than a billion people across the Globe and its “Absolute Monarch” (the Pope) receives Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings, and Ambassadors from every nation (it was also admitted into the U.N. as a non-member in 1964).
The prophecy above ALSO warns …
“And another (the 11th horn) shall rise AFTER them.”
Even though most nations from the earlier Roman Empire have been around for many, many years, Vatican City did not become a nation until 1929 when the Roman Pope struck a deal with his friend and fascist Dictator of Italy (Mussolini).
The time draws near ….
The “Roman Church” is synonymous with the “Holy Roman Empire.”
In recent times, during World War I the German “Kaiser” (Caesar) felt he would bring back the Holy Roman Empire.
Later, when Hitler was lifted into power he felt he had been given the power to bring in the “Third Reich” (Reich means “Holy Roman Empire”).
Yet, each time (during WWI and WWII) the United States of America (at that time a non-Roman, Christian “Protestant” based nation) stepped in to restrain and thwart their victory.
HOWEVER . . . America Will Be “Neutralized”
For the Bible’s prophetic warning concerning the rise of the Roman Church and the coming Holy Roman Empire to be complete, the United States of America (as a nation with its Constitutional and individual freedoms and rights which the Roman Kingdom and Roman Pope will never tolerate) must be eliminated, because the Bible warns America will soon fall under the iron-clad jackboots of a powerful Roman Pope.
The Bible clearly warns sometime just before the coming Apocalypse ALL nations (with the exception of Israel) will fall under Roman Rule which will be led by a powerful world dictator (the Antichrist) who will be empowered and directed by a Religious System (and its Ruler) based out of Rome.
We feel the political upheavals that are dividing America, and the fact our Presidency (Biden), Congress (Pelosi) and Supreme Court (Roberts) have all recently been controlled by Romans (Catholics) who owe their allegiance to the Roman Pope (and not our Constitution) IS prophetically significant!
In the book of Revelation we are warned a coming “One-World” Religious System will rise out of Rome (City of seven hills) …
“This calls for a mind with wisdom.
The seven heads are seven hills
on which the Woman (a Religion) sits.”
(Revelation 17:9)

This coming ecumenical ‘One-World’ Religious System will one day imprison, torture, and execute millions of Bible-believing Christians …
Warnings from the Past …
Abraham Lincoln warned of the JESUIT influence over the Civil War:
“This war (the Civil War) would never have been possible without the sinister influence of the Jesuits. We owe it to popery (the Pope) that we now see our land reddened with the blood of her noblest sons. Though there were great differences of opinion between the South and the North on the question of slavery, neither Jeff Davis nor anyone of the leading men of the Confederacy would have dared to attack the North, had they not relied on the promises of the Jesuits, that, under the mask of Democracy, the money and the arms of the Roman Catholic, even the arms of France were at their disposal, if they would attack us. I pity the priests, the bishops and monks of Rome in the United States, when the people realize that they are, in great part, responsible for the tears and the blood shed in this war. I conceal what I know, on that subject, from the knowledge of the nation; for if the people knew the whole truth, this war would turn into a religious war, and it would at once, take a tenfold more savage and bloody character. Then President Lincoln went on to say:
“Is it not an absurdity to give to a man a thing which he is sworn to hate, curse, and destroy? And does not the Church of Rome hate, curse and destroy liberty of conscience whenever she can do it safely? I am for liberty of conscience in its noblest, broadest, highest sense. But I cannot give liberty of conscience to the Pope and to his followers, the Papists, so long as they tell me, through all their councils, theologians, and canon laws, that their conscience orders them to burn my wife, strangle my children, and cut my throat when they find their opportunity! This does not seem to be understood by the people today. But sooner or later, the light of common sense will make it clear to everyone that no liberty of conscience can be granted to men who are sworn to obey a Pope, who pretends to have the right to put to death those who differ from him in religion.”
In 1816 John Adams wrote to Thomas Jefferson …
“I do not like the reappearance of the Jesuits … If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in Hell, it is this society of Loyola’s. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religious toleration to offer them an asylum.”
The Time Draws Near …
Our nation and our World are now moving quickly into that time which the Bible warns will be the most perilous (and deadly) time in the History of all Mankind …
“The Great Day of the LORD is near,
near and hastening fast;
The sound of the Day of the LORD is bitter;
the mighty man cries aloud there.
A day of wrath is that Day,
A day of distress and anguish,
A day of ruin and devastation,
A day of darkness and gloom,
A day of clouds and thick darkness,
A day of trumpet blast and battle cry
against the fortified cities
and against the lofty battlements.
I (GOD) will bring distress on Mankind,
so that they shall walk like the blind,
because they have sinned against the LORD;
their blood shall be poured out like dust,
and their flesh like dung.
Neither their silver nor their gold
shall be able to deliver them on
the Day of the Wrath of the LORD.
In the fire of His jealousy,
ALL the Earth shall be consumed;
For a full and sudden end
He will make of ALL the inhabitants of the Earth.”

Jesus Christ warns . . .
“For then there will be Great Tribulation,
such as has not been
since the beginning of the world until this time,
no, nor ever shall be.
And unless those days were shortened,
no human being (flesh) would be saved”
(Matthew 24:21-22)
Jesus warns that never in the history of Mankind has there ever been anything as terrible on Earth as the coming Great Tribulation (which technically is the second half, or the last 3 1/2 years of the 7-year Apocalypse), for we are told only a very small remnant of the world will survive.
Our Blessed Hope
Yet, those who will decide to take the Bible (and all of its prophetic warnings) seriously beforehand will be relieved (and happy) to learn that God has prepared a miraculous ESCAPE for all those living on Earth at that time. This “escape” will include all who will be found enduring in a sincere and unshakable faith in God’s Word (Jesus Christ … Yeshua Ha’Mashiach in Hebrew) and in His promises.
This loving path of escape is sometimes called “The Rapture”… and our “Blessed Hope.”
“WATCH therefore,
and pray ALWAYS
that you may be
counted worthy to ESCAPE
all these things
that WILL come to pass.”
