AN ALIEN INVASION
&
THE COMING APOCALYPSE
“When I heard,
my belly trembled;
my lips quivered at the voice:
rottenness entered into my bones,
and I trembled in myself,
that I might rest (escape)
in the Day of Trouble.”
(Habakkuk 3:16)
The climax to all human history begins …
We will now find the ‘Alien Threat’ is real.
By this time the World will have seen those fearful sights in the heavens which Jesus warned would be so terrifying they will cause men’s (and women’s) hearts to fail.
All those now left on Earth who foolishly ignored, rejected, and despised God’s words of warning and His loving offer “to escape all these things” must now prepare to writhe under this coming invasion of ‘Aliens’ (Satan’s destroying angels) and the myriads of Demons which will accompany them.
Satan will no longer be “restrained” by the Holy Spirit.
Our study begins by highlighting the role our extra-terrestrial ‘Aliens’ (Angels and Demons) will play at this time.
We will then let the many Bible prophecies detailing those events which will all take place during the Great Tribulation (the coming “Apocalypse”) speak for themselves.
Earth’s final climactic “War” will begin between Angels …
“Then war broke out in Heaven.
Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon (Satan),
and the Dragon and his angels fought back.
But he (Satan) was not strong enough,
and they lost their place in Heaven.”
(Revelation 12:7-10)
“And another sign appeared in Heaven:
Behold, a great, fiery Red Dragon (Satan)
having seven heads and ten horns,
and seven diadems on his heads.
His tail drew a third of the stars (angels) of Heaven
and threw them to the Earth.”
(Revelation 12:3-4)
The ‘Alien Invasion’ of Planet Earth now begins …
“So the Great Dragon was cast out,
that Serpent of old,
called the Devil and Satan,
who deceives the whole world.
He was cast down to the Earth,
and HIS (destroying) angels were cast out with him.”
(Revelation 12:9)
Angels (‘Aliens’) will then wreak havoc on Earth …
“Then the sixth angel sounded …
“Release the four angels who are bound
at the great river Euphrates.”
So the four angels
who had been prepared for the hour,
and day and month and year,
were released to kill a THIRD of all Mankind.”
(Revelation 9:13-15)
Demons will join them …
“And I saw a star (angel) fallen from Heaven to the Earth.
To him was given the key to the bottomless pit (Hell).
And he opened the bottomless pit,
and smoke arose out of the pit
like the smoke of a great furnace.
So the sun and the air were darkened
because of the smoke of the pit.
Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the Earth.
And to them was given power,
as the scorpions of the earth have power.
They were commanded not to harm
the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree,
but only (harm) those men
who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
And they were not given authority to kill them,
but to TORMENT them for five months.
Their torment was like the torment
of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
In those days men will seek death and will not find it.
They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”
The shape of the (demonic) locusts
was like horses prepared for battle.
On their heads were crowns of something like gold,
and their faces were like the faces of men.
They had hair like women’s hair,
and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.
And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron,
and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots
with many horses running into battle.
They had tails like scorpions,
and there were stings in their tails.
Their power was to hurt men five months.
And they had as king over them
THE ANGEL of Hell (“the bottomless pit”),
whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon (Destroyer),
but in Greek he has the name Apollyon (Destroyer).”
(Abaddon/Apollyon appear to be names for Satan.)
(Revelation 9:1-11)
An Angel will cause the Sun to “scorch” the Earth …
“Then the fourth angel
poured out his bowl on the Sun,
and power was given to him (the angel)
to scorch men with fire.
And men were scorched with great heat,
and they blasphemed the Name of God
who has power over these plagues;
and they did not repent
and give Him glory.
(Revelation 16:8-9)
DEMONS will then lead the World into Armageddon …
” And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs
coming out of the mouth of the Dragon, (Satan)
out of the mouth of the Beast, (the Antichrist)
and out of the mouth of the False Prophet
(The second Beast … the Religious Ruler)
For they are spirits of DEMONS,
performing signs, (supernatural miracles!)
which go out to the kings of the Earth
and of the whole World,
to GATHER them to the Battle
of that Great Day of God Almighty …
And they (the demons) gathered them together
to the place called in Hebrew,
ARMAGEDDON.”
(Revelation 16:13-14,16)
Something to consider before we continue on …
As God looks down upon the Earth He sees the violence. He sees the gross and rampant immorality and how casually we accept it. He feels the rebellion. He hears each lie. He sees what is being taught to (and done to) our little children. He hears the blasphemies spoken in earnest and in jest against Him and against the Name of His Son, whom He sent forth from Heaven to save us. He knows what is about to happen.
Yet, as He looks upon us, it is with a heart filled with love and compassion. A heart willing to forgive and forget. A heart that yearns for those on Earth to return to Him in faith.
Right now He stands at the door and knocks. It is our responsibility to open that door and invite Him into our lives.
He stands with open arms willing to receive and shelter all who will come to Him in faith … He will turn no one away.
A crushing weight …
There is a crushing weight associated with the words found in this section. We are told we live in an age of darkness mixed with light.
We are told those who sincerely believe in Him and wait in faith are filled with “light.” Satan is called the “prince of darkness” and the “ruler of this world.” The world hates the light. The light acts as a restraining force.
Jesus will one day return as a “thief in the night” to remove the children of light to protect and shelter them from those things which are about to come upon a violent, arrogant, and unbelieving world. A world in opposition to God.
There is the promise of Light returning after these things …
“As in the Days of Noah” …
We are also told Noah was a “preacher of righteousness,” and for 120 years was God’s witness, a trumpet of warning, while he built the vessel of refuge and escape.
He tried to convince and warn others.
There could have been close to a billion people living upon Earth at the time of Noah.
The Earth was filled with violence and corrupt immorality, as people ignored, rejected, and disobeyed God’s Word and did that which was right in their own eyes … (sound familiar?)
After 120 years of warning and waiting, the Scriptures tell us God Himself closed the door to the Ark …
Only eight people were saved …
Prophecies of The Coming Apocalypse
The Antichrist will rise and conquer …
“Now I saw when the Lamb
(Jesus Christ in Heaven)
opened one of the seals; and
I heard one of the four living creatures
saying with a voice like thunder,
‘Come and see.’
And I looked, and behold, a white horse.
And he who sat on it had a bow;
and a crown was given to him,
and he went out conquering
and to conquer.”
(Antichrist is Satan’s counterfeit Messiah)
(Revelation 6:1-2)
A Great War will ignite the Earth …
“When He opened the second seal,
I heard the second living creature
saying, ‘Come and see.’
Another horse, fiery red, went out.
And it was granted to the one who sat on it
to take peace from the Earth,
and that people should kill one another;
and there was given to him a great sword.”
(Revelation 6:3-4)
There might even be a possibility the “Bow” of the first rider and the “Sword” of the second might reflect Gog of Magog (Russia) and the Islamic armies who will follow him.
“Behold, I am against you, O Gog, THEN I will knock the bow out of your left hand.” (excerpted from Ezekiel 39:1-3)
Global famine …
Severe food shortages will follow
“When He opened the third seal,
I heard the third living creature say,
‘Come and see.’
So I looked, and behold, a black horse,
and he who sat on it
had a pair of scales in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst
of the four living creatures saying,
“A quart of wheat (loaf of bread) for a denarius,
(A denarius is a full day’s wage)
and three quarts of barley
for a denarius;
and do not harm
the oil and the wine.”
(The rich will still have luxuries)
(Revelation 6:5-6)
One-fourth of Mankind will be quickly destroyed …
“When He opened the fourth seal,
I heard the voice
of the fourth living creature
saying, ‘Come and see.’
And I looked, and behold, a pale horse.
And the name of him
who sat on it was Death,
and Hades followed with him.
And power was given to them
over a FOURTH of the Earth,
to kill with sword, with hunger,
with death, and by the beasts of the Earth.”
(The ‘beasts’ may be political and religious rulers)
(Revelation 6:7-8)
A massive nuclear missile attack or meteor storm …
It is interesting that those nations which are now armed with large arsenals of nuclear weapons have already built and are continuing to build massive “emergency command centers” into and under mountains to hide their leaders in case of all out nuclear war.
“And the stars of heaven fell to the Earth,
as a fig tree drops its late figs
when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
Then the sky receded
as a scroll when it is rolled up,
and every mountain and island
was moved out of its place
And the kings of the Earth,
the great men, the rich men,
the commanders, the mighty men,
every slave and every free man,
hid themselves in the caves
and in the rocks of the mountains”
(Revelation 6:13-15)
One-third of all trees on Earth will burn …
After the nuclear bomb tests in the Pacific, the Navy discovered much of the massive damage to the target fleet was caused by giant hail stones which were generated by the nuclear blasts. If the nuclear blasts had been over a large city, much blood would have been drawn up into the cloud and mingled with the hail …
“The first angel sounded:
And hail and fire followed,
mingled with blood,
and they were thrown to the Earth.
And a third of the trees were burned up,
and all green grass was burned up.”
(Revelation 8:7)
A large asteroid or nuclear missiles will destroy one-third of all life in the sea …
“Then the second angel sounded:
And something like great mountain
burning with fire was thrown into the sea,
and a third of the sea became blood.
And a third of the living creatures
in the sea died,
and a third of the ships were destroyed.”
(Revelation 8:8-9)
A large asteroid or nuclear missiles will strike one-third of all fresh water on Earth …
In old Russian Bibles the word “Wormwood” was translated, Chernobyl!
“Then the third angel sounded:
And a great star fell from heaven,
burning like a torch,
and it fell on a third of the rivers
and on the springs of water;
And the name of the star
is Wormwood (bitter).
a third of the waters
became wormwood,
and many men died from the water,
because it was made bitter.”
(Revelation 8:10-11)
Nuclear winter?
One-third of the light of the Sun, Moon, and Stars will be blocked …
“Then the fourth angel sounded:
And a third of the sun was struck,
a third of the moon,
and a third of the stars,
so that a third of them were darkened;
And a third of the day did not shine,
and likewise the night.
And I looked, and I heard an angel
flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice,
“Woe, woe, woe (A “woe” is a type of curse)
to the inhabitants of the Earth,because of the remaining blasts
of the trumpet of the three angels
who are about to sound!”
(Revelation 8:12-13)
One-third of the remaining population on Earth will then be destroyed …
The Bible tells us only a very small and scattered remnant of the population on Earth will survive the Apocalypse. Although, here, we find angels being released, much of the global terror will come from mankind destroying mankind, nation destroying nation, deadly wave after deadly wave. The Holy Spirit goes out of his way to let us know that the day and the hour is real and has already been set. Remember, the Bible warns our future is already history …
“Then the sixth angel sounded:
And I heard a voice
from the four horns of the golden altar
which is before God,
saying to the sixth angel
who had the trumpet,
“Release the four angels who are bound
at the great river Euphrates.”
So the four angels,
who had been prepared for the hour
and day and month and year,
were released to kill a THIRD of Mankind.”
(Revelation 9:13-15)
A 200,000,000 man army will kill yet another one-third of Mankind …
This prophecy says the “Army OF the horsemen was two hundred million.” These “horsemen” may be a small division or group within that army, such as a strategic nuclear weapons division, or they may be brightly painted missiles sitting upon missile launchers. The “two hundred million” is to help identify the nation or area they will rise out of. Later
called “the kings of the East,” it appears the Chinese military is someday going to use the secret missile technology our leader(s) sold them back in the 1990’s – against us!
One-third of all Mankind will be killed …
“Now the number
of the army of the horsemen
was two hundred million;
(China could now raise such an army)
I heard the number of them.
And thus I saw the horses in the vision:
those who sat on them
had breastplates of fiery red,
hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow;
and the heads of the horses
were like the heads of lions;
(Or these could be demonic creatures released)
and out of their mouths
came fire, smoke, and brimstone.
(Brimstone is like volcanic sulfurous or poisoned air)
By these three plagues
a THIRD of Mankind was killed–
by the fire and the smoke
and the brimstone
which came out of their mouths.
For their power is in their mouth
and in their tails; for their tails
are like serpents, having heads;
and with them they do harm.”
(Revelation 9:16-19)
Now, EVERY living creature in the sea will die …
“Then the second angel
poured out his bowl on the sea,
and it became blood
as of a dead man;
and EVERY living creature
in the sea died.”
(Revelation 16:3)
Rivers and springs will turn to blood …
God tells us why they will turn to blood.
“Then the third angel poured out his bowl
on the rivers and springs of water,
and they became blood.
And I heard the angel of the waters
saying: “You are righteous, O Lord,
the One who is and who was
and who is to be,
because You have judged these things.
For they have shed the blood
of saints and prophets,
and You have given them blood to drink.
For it is their just due.”
(Revelation 16:4-7)
A great heat from the Sun will scorch the Earth ...
“Then the fourth angel
poured out his bowl on the Sun,
and power was given to him
to scorch men with fire.
And men were SCORCHED with great heat,
and they blasphemed the Name of God
who has power over these plagues;
and they did not repent
and give Him glory.
(Revelation 16:8-9)
A thick, darkness will cover the Earth …
People on Earth will gnaw their tongues in great pain and agony, yet, they will continue to curse and blaspheme God.
“Then the fifth angel
poured out his bowl
on the throne of the beast,
and his kingdom
became full of darkness;
and they gnawed their tongues
because of the pain.
They blasphemed the God of Heaven
because of their pains and their sores,
and did not repent of their deeds.”
(Revelation 16:10-11)
Millions who come to the Lord will be executed …
These are sometimes called the “Tribulation Saints” (who weren’t ready at the Rapture). God will take the sting out of death for the millions who will die in faith, and wants them to know they will be greatly blessed forever in Heaven …
“Then I heard a voice from Heaven
saying to me, “Write:
‘Blessed are the dead
who die in the Lord from now on.’”
“Yes,” says the Spirit,
“that they may rest from their labors,
and their works follow them.”
(Revelation 14:13)
“Then I saw the souls
of those who had been beheaded
for their witness to Jesus
and for the Word of God,
who had NOT worshiped
the Beast (Antichrist) or his image,
and had NOT received his mark
on their foreheads or on their hands.”
(Revelation 20:4)
There are millions of Christians today in China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iraq, Indonesia, Algeria, Egypt, India, and around the world, including women and children, who are being imprisoned, murdered, tortured, raped, beaten, kidnaped, beheaded, burned alive, and sold into slavery simply for their faith in Jesus Christ, while we, our churches, the leaders of our nation, and the news networks simply watch and do nothing …
“Now brother will betray brother to death,
and a father his child;
and children will rise up against parents
and cause them to be put to death.
“And you will be hated by all men
for My Name’s (Jesus’) sake.
But he (or she) who endures to the end
shall be saved.”
(Mark 13:12-13)
A deadly, supernatural hailstorm will strike the Earth …
Yet, people will still curse and blaspheme God.
“And great hail from heaven fell upon men,
each hailstone about the weight of a talent.
(A talent = 75 – 114 pounds!)
And men blasphemed God
because of the plague of the hail,
since that plague was exceedingly great.”
(Revelation 16:21)
God gave us an earlier hint concerning this judgment of hail way back in the Book of Job, which many believe is the oldest book in the Bible.
“And God said,
‘Have you seen the treasury of hail,
which I have reserved
For the Time of Trouble,
For the Day of battle and war?’”
(Job 38:22-23)
The Great Day of Battle and War …
This last verse now prepares us for the great Battle of Armageddon which will end human history as we know it …
The Battle of Armageddon
Armageddon means the “Hill of Megiddo.”
Megiddo is part of the Plain of Esdraelon which is located in central Israel.
Napoleon came through there and declared it to be the finest battlefield in the world.
The Battle of Armageddon will be fought over Jerusalem.
The whole world will be drawn into Israel and Jerusalem
- The weapons will be used
- Cities will disappear
- The world will be destroyed
The Bible warns there will be several deadly waves associated with this conflict, including an attack from the south, an attack from the north, a massive Chinese led invasion of the Middle East from the east, which will then be joined as the armies of the Antichrist march out from all around the world to the place called: Armageddon.
Jesus Himself will return to engage this final battle.
He alone will destroy the enemies of God and Israel.
We don’t know the time between these wars/battles/events.
We do know that God has set aside seven years to complete His Plan for Mankind, and to remove all who have infected His World with their violence, corrupt immorality, lies, pain, disease, and death by rejecting God and despising His Word (who lovingly came to save us from all these things!)
The prophet Zechariah writes …
“For I (GOD) will gather
ALL nations against JERUSALEM.
The city (Jerusalem) shall be taken, the houses rifled,
and the women ravished (brutally raped).”
(Zechariah 14:2)
The prophet Joel writes …
“Blow the trumpet in Zion (Jerusalem),
and sound an alarm in My Holy Mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble;
For the Day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand:
A day of darkness and gloominess,
a day of clouds and thick darkness,
like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.
A people come, great and strong (armies of the Antichrist)
the like of whom has never been;
nor will there ever be any such after them,
even for many successive generations.
(This may come after the Russia-Iran invasion of Israel)
A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns.
Every one marches in his own column. (A disciplined army)
Though they lunge between the weapons,
they are not cut down.
They run to and fro in the city, they run on the wall;
they climb into the houses,
they enter at the windows like a thief.
The Earth quakes before them, (Tank battalions?)
the heavens tremble;
(Helicopters, bombers, and jet fighters?)
The sun and moon grow dark,
and the stars diminish their brightness.”
(Smoke will fill the atmosphere)
(Joel 2:1-10)
The prophet Jeremiah writes …
“Thus says the LORD of hosts:
‘Behold, disaster shall go forth
from nation to nation,
and a great whirlwind shall be raised up
from the farthest parts of the Earth.
And at that Day the slain of the LORD
shall be from one end of the Earth
even to the other end of the Earth.
They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried;
they shall become refuse on the ground”
(Jeremiah 25:15-17, 27-38)
The Face of the Earth will change …
“The Earth is violently broken,
the Earth is split open,
the Earth is shaken exceedingly.
The Earth shall reel to and fro
like a drunkard, and shall totter like a hut;
its transgression shall be heavy upon it,
and it will fall, and not rise again.”
(Isaiah 24:19-20)
Armageddon in a nutshell …
“I (God) will utterly sweep away everything
from the face of the Earth,”
declares the Lord.
I will cut off Mankind
from the face of the Earth
declares the Lord.”
(Zephaniah 1:2-3)
As this Day draws near what does God expect of us?
“But the Day of the Lord
will come as a thief in the night,
in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise,
and the elements will melt with fervent heat;
both the Earth and the works that are in it
will be burned up.
Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought you to be
in holy conduct and godliness,
looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of God …
Nevertheless we, according to His promise,
look for new heavens and a new Earth
in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things,
be diligent to be found by Him in peace,
without spot, and blameless”
(2 Peter 3:10-14)
God WILL lovingly provide hope, shelter, and safety to all who will return to Him before it is too late …
“Before the decree is issued,
before the day passes like chaff,
before the LORD’S fierce anger comes upon you,
before the Day of the LORD’S Anger comes upon you!
Seek the LORD …
It may be that you will be HIDDEN
in the Day of the LORD’S Anger.”
(Zephaniah 2:2-3)
“Watch therefore,
and pray always
that you may be counted worthy to ESCAPE
all these things that will come to pass.”
