Bible Prophecy

ISRAEL

&

JERUSALEM

That tiny Red ‘Dot’ in the middle is the Nation of Israel
God warns, ‘Israel is His’ . . . ‘Allah’ and his vast armies (green) keep trying to prove Him wrong
The God of Israel and the Bible … or … Allah and the Koran … or … A Bejeweled Roman Power … Only One Will Stand
The coming Battle of Armageddon (‘Hill of Megiddo’) . . . Armageddon lies right in the center of that tiny Red ‘Dot’
“I (God) will bless those who bless you (Israel) and will curse those who curse you”. . .  (Genesis 12:3)

“For I (GOD)
will gather ALL the nations
to battle against JERUSALEM”
(Zechariah 14:2)

The Destiny Of The World

The Bible warns the destiny of the World is inseparable from Israel and Jerusalem.

Sometime AFTER 1948 …

The Bible says God would one day re-gather the children of Israel back into their land from among many nations around the world. The Bible says they would be re-gathered in unbelief. God warns He is not re-gathering the children of Israel into their Land because they deserve it, but because His Name and His Word are at stake (see Ezekiel 36:17-23) … and because He loves them. They are His chosen people.

The Bible warns sometime after Israel would be regathered as a nation ‘Gaza will be forsaken’ and God offers a stark and terrible warning to both Israel and the World concerning the ultimate irreversible consequences of this prophetic event.

The Bible warns a very popular world leader (the ‘Antichrist’) will rise out of 10 nations which once formed the Roman Empire and will enforce a coming Peace Plan (‘covenant’) upon Israel.  The very day on which this coming Peace Plan (‘covenant’) is enforced upon Israel will mark the beginning (Day 1) of the prophesied 7-Year period of time sometimes called the “Apocalypse,” the “70th Week of Daniel,” or “The Time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) Trouble.”

Exactly 31/2 years (1,260 days) after this Peace Plan (‘covenant’) is enforced upon Israel, this coming world leader will enter into a new Jewish Temple which will be built in Jerusalem and demand to be worshiped as ‘god’ (this speech will probably be televised and broadcast around the World).  The moment this speech is concluded, Israel and the World will enter into the final 31/2 years of tribulation, which Jesus Christ calls the “Great Tribulation,”  during which the nation Israel along the whole World will go through a time of testing, torment, terror, and utter destruction unlike anything in the history of the World.

During this final 31/2 years the armies of the world will gather in and around nation Israel (the coming battle of Armageddon).  Their objective will be Jerusalem.  When all seems lost for the children of Israel, the Bible says a believing remnant will recognize their Messiah from Scripture, and will call upon His Name. He will then return in power to save the remnant of Israel. We are then told immediately following this great and terrible Battle of Armageddon during which all of the armies of the world will be destroyed, the tiny nation of Israel will rise to rule over all nations on Earth, in peace, under her King and Messiah, Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha’Mashiach in Hebrew).

The Bible says all of the covenants, promises, curses, prophecies, and blessings God has made to the children and nation of Israel will be fulfilled …

“Search from the Book of the LORD, and read,
‘Not one of these (prophecies) shall fail;
not one shall lack her mate.’
For My mouth has commanded it,
and His Spirit has gathered them.”
(Isaiah 34:16)

Israel:

The Road to Armageddon

On May 14, 1948 God’s prophetic clock started ticking, loudly!

These prophecies are important because we can now watch the news, read a world history book, or look at a current map of the world and see there is now a nation called Israel. For almost 2,500 years – starting with the Jewish captivity under Babylon, then Persia, then Greece, then Rome; and, almost 2,000 years since the birth and rejection of the Messiah, when God held the children of Israel accountable, and then, using the Roman army, scattered the people into the nations around the world – the Jews have been dispersed. A people without a nation.

However, God said He would one day re-gather the children of Israel into the Land which He has given them as a nation. Through His prophets God also warned He would then judge them for profaning His Holy Name while scattered around the world. This prophetic re-gathering, which this generation is now seeing take place, is to serve as a sign and a warning to the world that the Apocalypse, the “Day of the Lord,” draws near …

“He will set up a banner
for the nations,
and will assemble
the outcasts of Israel,
and gather together
the dispersed of Judah
from the four corners
of the Earth.”
(Isaiah 11:12)

“Thus says the Lord GOD:
‘Surely I will take
the children of Israel
from among the nations,
wherever they have gone,
and will gather them from every side
and bring them into
their own land;’”
(Ezekiel 37:21)

“And you, son of man,
prophesy to the mountains of Israel,
and say, ‘O mountains of Israel,
hear the word of the LORD …’”
“But you, O mountains of Israel,
you shall shoot forth your branches
(note this for later prophecies)
and yield your fruit
to My people Israel,
for they are about to come …”
“For I will take you (Israel)
from among the nations,
gather you out of all countries,
and bring you into your own land.”
(Ezekiel 36:1, 8, 24)

“Who has heard such a thing?
Who has seen such things?
Shall the Earth be made
to give birth in one day?
Or shall a nation be born at once?
For as soon as Zion was in labor,
she gave birth to her children.”
(Isaiah 66:8)

This prophecy WAS fulfilled in one day – May 14, 1948!

Now, search through history for nation Israel …

Year 100? … “Nope.”
Year 500? … “Nope.”
Year 900? … “Nope.”
Year 1200? … “Nope.”
Year 1500? … “Nope.”
Year 1700? … “Nope.”
Year 1900? … “Nope.”
Year 1948? … “Yes!!!” There it is … on May 14, 1948!

How has the world reacted to such a profound fulfillment of Bible prophecy? A miracle that can be documented by simply looking at a map and a Bible. It has ignored it! Just as God says most of the world will ignore the warnings of the coming Apocalypse.

Remember, God uses prophecy to prove He is God, and to authenticate all the warnings and promises found in the Bible.

Jerusalem:  “A Cup of Trembling”

Then, AFTER Israel has become a Nation once again God warns the battle over Israel and Jerusalem will continue to grow worse and worse …

“Behold, I (God) will make Jerusalem
a cup of trembling (anger, fear)
unto ALL the people (nations) round about . . .”
(Zechariah 12:2)

“And in that Day (the Apocalypse)
I (God) will make Jerusalem
a burdensome stone for ALL people”
(Zechariah12:3)

Don’t miss this!! Through these prophetic verses, God is telling us HE is the One stirring things up in Israel and Jerusalem!!!

Israel WILL Be “Divided” Around The Time of Armageddon

“I (GOD) will also gather ALL nations,
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. (Same as Megiddo … ARMAGEDDON!!!)
And I (GOD) will enter into judgment with them there
on account of MY People, MY Heritage, ISRAEL,
whom they have scattered among the nations.
THEY HAVE ALSO DIVIDED UP MY LAND.”
(Joel 3:2)

ALL Nations of the World

Will Turn Against Israel!!

The Bible also warns “at the time of the end” (around the time of the coming Apocalypse and Armageddon (also called the “Time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) Trouble”- Jeremiah 30:7) ALL nations (including the US) will unite (United Nations?) and turn against Israel (Zechariah 14:1-2 … Joel 3:1-2 … Revelation 16:13-16). But, it is heart-wrenching to see it now actually happening. It is like watching the water receding from the beach just before a great and terrible tidal wave strikes. Remember … Armageddon is in Israel.

“For I (GOD)
will gather ALL the nations
to battle against JERUSALEM”
(Zechariah 14:2)

“And I (God)
will be to her (Jerusalem)
a wall of fire all around …
He who touches you (Jerusalem)
touches the apple (pupil) of His eye …
(Woe to those who poke God in the eye)
Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord,
for He has roused Himself
from His holy dwelling”
(Zechariah 2:5,8,13)

The Bible warns two-thirds of the people in Israel

will be “cut off and die” during this time

“And it shall come to pass
in all the Land (Israel),
says the Lord,
That two-thirds of it
shall be cut off and die,
but one-third shall be left in it:
(only 1/3 survive – fewer in the world)
I will bring the one-third
through the fire,
will refine them as gold is tested.
They will call on My Name,
and I will answer them.
I will say, ‘This is My people’;
and each one will say,
‘the LORD is my God.'”
(Zechariah 13:8-9)

“Alas!
for that Day is great,
so that none is like it:
it is even the
time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) Trouble,
but he shall be saved out of it.”
(Jeremiah 30:7)

Then, when the armies of the world will one day gather in and around nation Israel (the coming battle of Armageddon), and when all seems lost for the children of Israel, the Bible says a believing remnant will recognize their Messiah from Scripture and will call upon His Name. He will then return to save Israel. The Bible also tells us “after these things” the little nation of Israel and the children of Israel will rule over all the nations on Earth, in peace, under her King and Messiah Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha’Mashiach in Hebrew).

The final Battle of Armageddon will be fought over Jerusalem

The weapons will be used.  The world will be destroyed.  Cities will disappear.  Armageddon means the “Hill of Megiddo.”  Megiddo is part of the Plain of Esdraelon which is located in central Israel. Napoleon came through there and declared it to be the finest battlefield in the world. The whole world will be drawn into this war over Israel and Jerusalem. No nation will be spared. The Bible warns there will be several deadly waves associated with this conflict, including: An attack from the “south,” an attack from the “north,” a massive Chinese led invasion of the Middle East from the “east”, which will then be “joined” as the armies of the Antichrist march out of Europe and around the world to the place called “Armageddon.” Jesus will return to engage this final battle Himself. He alone will destroy the enemies of Israel. We don’t know the time between these wars/battles/events. We do know that God has set aside seven years to complete His plan with Israel, and this Age.

From the apparent absence of America in prophecy, the U.S. will be “neutralized” sometime before this Middle-East conflict begins. The United States will be unwilling or unable to defend Israel against her enemies. For the Bible warns Israel must stand alone . . . with God!

The prophet Joel writes …

“Blow the trumpet in Zion (Jerusalem),
and sound an alarm in My Holy Mountain!  (Temple Mount)
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble;
for the Day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand:
A day of darkness and gloominess,
a day of clouds and thick darkness,
like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.
A people come, great and strong (the armies of the Antichrist),
the like of whom has never been;
nor will there ever be any such after them,
even for many successive generations.
(This final Battle may build sometime after the Russia-Iran invasion of Israel)
A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns . . .
Every one marches in his own column. (A disciplined army)
Though they lunge between the weapons, they are not cut down.
They run to and fro in the city, they run on the wall;
they climb into the houses, they enter at the windows like a thief.
The Earth quakes before them, (Tank battalions?)
the heavens tremble; (Helicopters, bombers, and jet fighters?)
The sun and moon grow dark,
and the stars diminish their brightness.” (Smoke will fill the air)
(Joel 2:1-10)

The prophet Zechariah writes …

“For I (God) will gather ALL nations against JERUSALEM.
The city (Jerusalem) shall be taken,
the houses rifled,
and the women ravished (brutally raped).
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
but the remnant of the people
shall not be cut off from the city.”
(Zechariah 14:2)

The prophet Jeremiah writes …

“Thus says the LORD of hosts:
‘Behold, disaster shall go forth from nation to nation,
and a great whirlwind shall be raised up
from the farthest parts of the Earth.
And at that Day the slain of the LORD
shall be from one end of the Earth
even to the other end of the Earth.
They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried;
they shall become refuse on the ground.
Wail, shepherds, and cry! (Jewish leaders)
Roll about in the ashes, you leaders of the flock! (Israel)
For the days of your slaughter
and your dispersions are fulfilled;
you shall fall like a precious vessel.
And the shepherds will have no way to flee,
nor the leaders of the flock to escape.
A voice of the cry of the shepherds,
and a wailing of the leaders to the flock will be heard.
For the LORD has plundered their pasture,
And the peaceful dwellings are cut down
because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
He has left His lair like the lion; for their land is desolate
because of the fierceness of the Oppressor,
and because of His (God’s) fierce Anger.’”
(Jeremiah 25:15-17, 27-38)

The prophet Zephaniah writes …

“The Great Day of the LORD is near,
near and hastening fast;
The sound of the Day of the LORD is bitter;
the mighty man cries aloud there.
A day of wrath is that Day,
A day of distress and anguish,
A day of ruin and devastation,
A day of darkness and gloom,
A day of clouds and thick darkness,
A day of trumpet blast and battle cry
against the fortified cities
and against the lofty battlements.
I (GOD) will bring distress on Mankind,
so that they shall walk like the blind,
because they have sinned against the LORD;
their blood shall be poured out like dust,
and their flesh like dung.
Neither their silver nor their gold
shall be able to deliver them on
the Day of the Wrath of the LORD.
In the fire of His jealousy,
ALL the Earth shall be consumed;
For a full and sudden end
He will make of ALL the inhabitants of the Earth.”
(Zephaniah 1:14-18)

Jesus Christ warns . . .

“For then there will be Great Tribulation,
such as has not been
since the beginning of the world until this time,
no, nor ever shall be.
And unless those days were shortened,
no human being (flesh) would be saved”
(Matthew 24:21-22)

At that time, the Messiah (Jesus Christ) will return to save “His brethren,” the remnant of Israel …

“Now I saw Heaven opened, and behold, a white horse.
And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He (Jesus Christ) judges and makes war.
His eyes were like a flame of fire,
and on His head were many crowns.
He had a Name written that no one knew except Himself.
He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood,
and His Name is called The Word of God. . .
Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword,
that with it He should strike the nations.
And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron.
He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written …
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
(Revelation 19:11-16)

Don’t miss the significance here.  This is Jesus who will save the children of Israel and destroy her enemies. When you study this awesome prophecy describing the final return of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha’Mashiach in Hebrew) and the many other prophecies describing this same event you will find it is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, returning to save Israel from the nations and armies of this world who will accuse her of “unjustly occupying” the Land.

According to the Bible, the “right side” is “Israel’s side” in this coming battle. Believing Christians should never turn against Israel. However, there are many Christian churches and denominations who have accepted the “Roman” doctrine that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. This doctrine is not found in the Bible … and it is dead wrong!!! The Church (drawn from both Jews and Gentiles) and nation Israel have two separate prophetic destinies. For the Church, (both Jews and non-Jews who believe in and receive Jesus as Messiah and Savior before the Rapture), Jesus returns as the “Bridegroom” to shelter and protect us from the wrath which will soon pour out upon mankind, and then (later), for the Jews of Israel who have gone through the Great Tribulation (those who will then recognize Him as their promised “Messiah”), He will return as the promised King, the son of David, (above all on Earth). Sadly, for some (yet unknown) reason the U.S. will not be there for Israel in that Day. Israel must stand alone. Her only hope is in God, Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah.

A final warning to all nations …

“All that burden themselves
with it (Jerusalem)
shall be cut in pieces,
though ALL the people of the Earth
be gathered together against it.”
(Zechariah 12:3)

The Bible says all of the covenants, promises, curses, prophecies,

and blessings which God has made to the children of Israel

will one day all be fulfilled …

“Search from the Book of the LORD, and read,
‘Not one of these (prophecies) shall fail;
not one shall lack her mate.’
For My mouth has commanded it,
and His Spirit has gathered them.”
(Isaiah 34:16)

“I (God) will BLESS those who bless you (Israel) and will CURSE those who curse you.”

(Genesis 27:29 & Genesis 12:3 & Numbers 24:9)
